Today was Kayden's 2nd birthday!! Stacey and Bruce had a party for him with pizza, salad, cake and ice-cream! He had a fun time opening all of his presents. Here are a few pictures from the party.

The Daytona 500 2009!!!

Friday Justin and I flew with a few friends to Florida for the Daytona 500! The weather was PERFECT Friday and Saturday. We got up Saturday and sat at the pool for most of the day! It was HEAVEN!!! (But I stayed out a little too long...got a little bit of a sunburn) Sunday we woke up to a bit of rain...we were worried all morning whether or not they would be able to have the race that day. It was really cloudy and sprinkled most of the morning. We got to the track a little after 9:00 am. They took our group on a tour of pit road and the garages. We were able to meet Brian Vickers and take a few pictures and get autographs with him. It was really cool! Then we walked around looking at all the different cars in the garages. We saw a few familiar faces which was alot of fun!
After the tour Christy and I walked all over and stood in MANY lines to get shirts for everyone from their favorite driver. We got to hear a little bit of Keith Urban sing which was fun!
It was the most AWESOME sound to hear those cars come around the track for the first time!!! Something you can't describe...you can feel it in your chest it is sooooo loud!!!!!! It was the greatest!!! We snuck down a few rows so we were right by the fence when they drove by---it felt like a train going by! My hair flew all over the place because of the speed of the cars. SO AWESOME!
Even though the race ended early because of rain--it was so fun to experience it in person! If you haven't gone to a NASCAR race....I HIGHLY recommend it!!!

Blue & Gold Banquet.

Last night Colton had his Blue & Gold Banquet for Scouts. We all ate soup, salad & rolls. They talked a little bit about Scout camp coming up in a few months. Colton was excited to hear about that--he had such a good time last year.
