Happy Halloween!

This year I caved and let Colton be the "bloody scream"...he has wanted to dress up as this since he was probably 5. But he looked soooo good in his costume! The kids at school all LOVED it! Garrett was a dragonfly this year--he looked super cute! He had a hard time walking in it and ended up falling down about 5 times--he has a goose egg/bruise on his head and under his eye.
We went to Colton's class party this morning where the kids decorated pumpkin cookies, wrapped classmates up as mummy's, tossed bean bags into pumpkins and voted on the best costume. Colton won 1st place for the Scariest Costume. Garrett even got 2 votes. ha ha
Colton went trick or treating with Jordan this year--Garrett had SUCH a good time handing out candy to the kids---he just kept loading their buckets full---and the kids didn't care..they just stood there and let him put in as much as he wanted to.
I took him to two houses in the neighborhood---he had a good time. When we knocked on the door and they opened it...he would try and go inside.

Happy Birthday Grandpa John!!

Today is Justin's grandpa John's 96th birthday!!! WOW!! Saturday night a bunch of family went and celebrated with him and ate some cake. Garrett had a GREAT time running up and down the halls and was a HUGE hit with anyone who walked by. All the ladies wanted to hold him, one man just wanted to touch his hair. Garrett wanted NOTHING to do with any of them!!! We hope that grandpa has a great day!!!

Colton took cupcakes to school yesterday for his birthday. I saved 2 so Garrett and Kayden could each have one after lunch. Kayden just screamed at his til I took it off his tray. Garrett....I think he liked it ok.

Colton turns the big 9 years old today!!! Colton has always been SUCH a good little boy! He does really well in school, he is a GREAT older brother to Garrett and he is AWESOME at ANY video game!!!

We had a birthday party for Colton on Saturday. Tonight we will probably hang out at home and finish off the rest of his yummy birthday cake.

Happy Birthday Colton!

Today we had Colton's birthday party. He decided to do a "movie" theme. When each kid arrived they got a baggy full of tickets where they could buy things from the concession stand--Pizza, hot dogs, chips, popcorn, pop and candy. After they all ate pizza they started to watch a movie---they didn't stay interested for very long. We had cake from Cold Stone that was SUPER yummy!!! And then Colton opened presents. He got alot of great gifts and I think that everyone had a really good time!

Opening Present....

Garrett LOVES Elmo!!!

Anytime Garrett sees Elmo he goes crazy! He just loves him! We were at the store yesterday and they had the "new Elmo" out. Elmo says..."Elmo loves you" and then blows you a kiss. Garrett grabbed Elmo and gave him a kiss. It was the CUTEST thing!

Garrett 18 Month Checkup

Garrett had his 18 month check up this morning. He wasn't thrilled about most of the visit. He was fine when she weighed him--but when she tried to measure how tall he was and his head--he FREAKED out like she was beating him! I knew the shots weren't going to go any better and I was right. He kept taking the band aid off--the nurse said that most kids do that because they think it is the band aid that is hurting them.

Dr. Bean said that he is perfect--she could tell that he doesn't go without food.



He weighs 30 pounds which is 90%

He is 33 inches tall which is 75%

His head measured above 95% again.

Principal Pride Award!

Colton's school has a really fun award called the Principal Pride Award. Once a month the teachers are asked to pick 1-2 students from their class who are doing well. Colton was chosen this month. I stopped by McDonald's and picked up our lunch, and then we all met in the library. It was really fun! Colton is such a GOOD kid!!!!!

Colton had a pack meeting last night. The boys had a lot of fun! They played a fun Halloween word game, and then made some bookmarks. Colton got quite a few badges last night--his leaders got a little behind. He got 3 beads, a belt loop, a gold arrow and 3 silver arrows. I think he will get the rest in November and they will have him all caught up.
