Colton Starts 4th Grade!!

Colton started the 4th grade today!! His teacher is Ms.Hagmann. Garrett and I walked him to where his class was to line up and he found his friend Brandon. We didn't go in and meet his teacher--they usually have back to school night in the first few weeks after school starts.
Colton said that his teacher was really nice! She has planned a fun activity for every Friday after lunch for all of those kids who have completed all assignments and have handed in all of their homework. Colton was really excited about this. He has 19 kids from his old class who are in his new class---so he knows most of the kids in his class which is good. I think it will be a great year for Colton!!!

Weekend

Saturday afternoon we went up to Justin's boss' cabin to stay the night. We wanted to do something fun before Colton headed back to school on Monday. The boys had a great time riding on the 4-wheelers and just hanging out at the cabin. Here are a few pictures.

Concrete!!

Our concrete is complete!!! They did a really great job! It is so nice to be rid of all of those weeds and have alot more extra space for the kids to ride their bikes. It looks AWESOME!!!

We were working on some potty training with Garrett yesterday, he heard Grandpa's voice in the garage and took off for outside...

Oquirrh Mountain Temple Openhouse

Today we went to the open house at the new Oquirrh Mountain Temple. It was so pretty inside! All of the kids really enjoyed going through and seeing all of the pretty rooms!

After we had a little BBQ at our house. Herm, Kelly and baby Connor came up--it was really good to see Connor! He is such a darling little baby! The kids all took several turns holding him.

After a week of mourning our dear fish Jimmie--I took the kids to Pet Smart today and we picked out our new fish Smoke!! We named him after another favorite race car driver. We hope he has a long happy life with us!!

Scout Camp

Today Justin and I went up with Colton for the first day of Scout camp. I think for the most part Colton had a fun time. He really enjoyed shooting the BB Guns, the go cart race, shooting water rockets and of course shopping in the trading store. He found some treasures there for sure! They had quite a few activities for them to do--we changed about every 15 minutes. So they kept them pretty busy.
He goes back tomorrow for another day--I won't be going up so here are some pictures from today.

I went in to feed our fish Jimmie this morning and saw that he was in the sink....dead! He must have jumped out of his bowl somehow...makes me sad!! We have had him for YEARS!!!!!!!

Garrett's 1st Trip to the Dentist!

Garrett went on his first trip to the dentist today. He actually did pretty well. I thought for SURE he would cry the entire time. I put him in the chair and when they started moving it back he freaked out a bit and tried to get down--but calmed down really fast. The dentist was able to get a good look and even take some pictures.

One of the girls tried to get him to go with her to brush his teeth--he yelled "NOOOO" at her. Maybe next time. He said we need to get rid of his binky in the next year. He has 4 teeth that are trying to come in right now--so as soon as they are in--the binky will be going bye-bye.

Naughty!!

I was on the phone for 5 min.....he managed to get about 1/2 the tube of Desitin onto himself, the carpet and the banister... When I was almost to his door I could see what he was doing and said "GARRETT!!!!" by the time I got in his room he had run over to the corner by his bed and was hiding.....

As I'm taking his picture he says "cheeeeeese" He is ROTTEN!!!!

Jackson Hole!!!

Justin and I went to Jackson Hole Thursday morning--we met up with some friends who took Justin's Harley up in their trailer. We went out for our first ride that afternoon---it was soooooo much fun!!! It is SO pretty up there and the weather was perfect! We got a little bit of rain on the way back to the hotel--but not too bad.

Friday morning we got up and drove almost 200 miles on our ride. We went into Yellowstone and saw Old Faithful, the weather didn't cooperate too much that day. We had quite a few patches of rain--which doesn't feel too good when you are on a bike.... and our butts were pretty sore!! It was a LONG ride! But we still had alot of fun!

Saturday was the car auction--we went over and looked at the cars...there were a few nice ones. The boys went out for an afternoon ride and got caught in more rain. That night we watched the race at the hotel restaurant. It was alot of fun! We were all so tired that we forgot all about the fireworks they had going on that night...but they sure did wake us up!! WOW!!! Sooooo loud!!!!!!! They shoot them from the top of the mountain and it was Soooo LOUD!!!

We started heading back home Sunday morning and the trailer broke. We ended up leaving the trailer and the boys had to ride the bikes the rest of the way home. Certainly NOT what they were wanting to do--but not much of a choice.
