New Hair Cut!

Garrett has been looking pretty shaggy dog like lately. So I took him down to Cookie Cutters and he looks like a new man!!!! She cut off a TON more than I had planned--all of his curls are GONE!! But I think he looks REALLY CUTE!!!!!

Who's Watching Garrett???

So Tuesday Justin got one of his cars out of storage. I told Colton to watch Garrett while I helped (watched) Justin put it in the back garage. Justin went around to bring the car in and I could hear him talking to someone but couldn't see anyone. I heard him say "hold on" I look in the car and there is Garrett...sitting in the passenger seat??? Justin said Garrett was in the middle of the garage on his way out. So I went in and ask Colton where his brother was (he was on the computer) he said..."oh ya...I forgot" NICE!!!! He is usually always so good about watching him. But Garrett is pretty sneaky these days! He can get the garage door open and can go down the stairs all by himself. I have to keep the doors locked and the alarm ALWAYS on so I know if a baby escapes!

Sunday morning I took Garrett to the park. I went to one that Stacey really likes and it has swings-- I thought Garrett would have so much fun on the swings...I was sooo wrong! As soon as I put him in he started crying and tried to get out. All he wanted to do was go down the slide. But he wouldn't go up the stairs--he insisted that I lift him up each time and put him at the top. SUPER fun for mom! But he had sooo much fun! He was laughing and laughing. Then he just wanted to walk everywhere, which was fine--til we were on the grass and I saw 2 little snakes whipping around. Then it was time to go home! NASTY!!!!!

BBQ For Grandpa Scott!!

We were finally able to have the BBQ for my dad tonight. We had BBQ turkey--sooo yummy! It was nice enough outside that we ate out on the back deck. Once the sun goes over our house it is really nice back there. We had a really good time! Here are a few pictures--I didn't get as many good ones as I had hoped.

Garrett does time out!!!

Garrett has been the BIGGEST bully this past week. I'm not sure what it is!! But if he doesn't get his way...he will take out his anger on whoever he thinks has wronged him! He has been pulling poor little Kayden's hair if he doesn't get what he wants from him. He pulled my hair this week because I wouldn't let him go outside.

He went to time out twice during the party for hitting or pulling Kayden's hair. He understands that when he is in time out he HAS to stay there--and he doesn't like it at all. Hopefully he will learn soon that he can't pull peoples hair or hit them!!! He has some anger management problems!!!!

Grass is DONE!!!

YIPEE!!!! The landscapers just finished the grass in the back yard! It looks soooo GOOD! I'm sooo EXCITED!!!! I'm sure I won't be saying this in a couple weeks when I have to mow all of that grass--but for now it is GREAT!!!

Justin and I finished up the garage painting on Sat. night. It looks really good and matches the house well. Hopefully they will be out with the door soon so Justin can get that garage filled up.

Next year we will be putting in a play area behind the new garage where all of the dirt is--and a walk way will go down the left side of the grass

OK--so I just threw this picture in. Yesterday about 5:30 this bird--(I think he is a pigeon) landed on our back deck and stayed for about an hour. He has a tag on one of his feet--I'm not sure where he came from--but we could tell he had been well taken care of. Hopefully he made it back home.

Seth & Greta!!

We had dinner at Justin's parents house tonight to celebrate Seth and Greta's engagement. It was a lot of fun! Greta is such a CUTE girl and we are so excited to have her in our family!

Seth & Greta have decided on October 25th as their wedding date--which leaves a little over 2 months to get everything ready. Seems like a short amount of time, and seems a bit overwhelming--but Greta has a lot of great ideas and I know that everything will turn out AWESOME!!!

Today Colton, Garrett and I walked down to a little park by our house. It was alot further than we thought it was and it was HOT outside!!! Colton was such a good big brother and took Garrett down the slide about 15 times. Garrett had such a great time!

We have grass!!!

We have grass in the backyard..almost all of the way. They will be back on Monday morning to finish it all up. It looks SOOOOOO much better! I can't believe what a difference it makes back there!
Justin and I painted the garage last night and this morning. We just have to do the trim as soon as we can find a good match.

Garage Part 2...

The garage guys came and built Justin's "extra" garage today. They started about 9:30 and finished at 4:00---so FAST!!! They need to come inspect it, and then they will put the garage door on. I guess there was an accident with the man door---we had a bit of a wind storm this afternoon & it blew the door over and landed on a big rock which put a big hole in the door. So they will bring out a new one of those as well. We just need to paint it this weekend.

The yard is slowly coming together. Hopefully the landscapers will be out to finish up tomorrow.

The landscapers have started on the backyard. It looks soooo much better already. They scraped all of the weeds away which made a HUGE difference! They were getting so bad! It is so nice to look out the window and not see so many weeds.

They are starting the trenching for the sprinkling system right now. (I'm sure nap time will soon be over for the babies with all the noise they are making out there) Anywho he said that they should be done by Thursday. I'm so excited!

Happy Anniversary Stacey & Bruce!

Today is Stacey and Bruce's 2ND Anniversary! I hope that they have a great day full of ROMANCE!!!

Garrett under the weather.

Garrett has been sick for the last few days. We aren't quite sure what he has had exactly--whether it is teeth or something else. He had tooth # 5&6 come through about 2 weeks ago. He might be working on getting some new ones in. He had a fever for 4 days, he wasn't sleeping (unless one of us lay on the floor by his bed), and not eating. When Garrett isn't eating...we know something is wrong. He seems to be feeling better today--at least his fever is gone and he ate a little bit.

He loves taking a bath in our bathtub!

Congratulations Seth & Greta!

Congratulations to Justin's younger brother Seth and his girlfriend Greta! They got engaged on Friday! We are so happy for them and are REALLY excited to have Greta join our family!

I don't know any details just yet--but will post them when I have them.

Garage...Part 1

Here is before the concrete....
and after...a little less weeds.

They came Thursday and poured the cement pad for the garage. They will be back next Thursday to build it.

The landscapers SHOULD be here first thing Monday morning to start on the back yard. We are sooooo EXCITED to get that started. We are hoping that by next weekend our back yard will be looking a lot better!

I will be posting pictures throughout the week of the progress.

Good Job Colton!!

Last night Colton had a pack meeting. He was really excited to go since they didn't have Scouts in July because of Scout Camp. He got 4 belt loops--astronomy, BB shooting, wildlife conservation & archery.

After the awards were all given out all of the boys watched as some of the leaders made home made root beer with dry ice. They all thought that was pretty cool! While the root beer was "brewing" they all played volleyball with beach balls. They had such a great time! After playing for awhile they had root beer and a treat.

His leaders also passed out their "Raingutter Regatta Kits" for the cub scout boat race. We aren't exactly sure on how they do this-- they haven't given us any information yet. But I don't think it will be as involved as the derby cars were. Colton is excited for sure to decorate his boat.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Scott!!!

Today my dad turns the big 56!!!! He will be VERY happy to know that I can't find ONE picture of him on my computer!!! We are planning on having a BBQ/Party for him as soon as he gets a weekend off from work. Hopefully soon! I will be taking LOTS of pictures then for SURE!
