Christmas Party!!

Today we went down to Manti for a late Christmas party. We all ate some lunch, then the kids colored, played with Play Dough, and took turns destroying 2 pinatas. They all had a great time. Even Garrett took a turn. It is fun to get together with everyone that we don't get to see that often.

Merry Christmas!!

We woke up Christmas morning at 6 am to find the power was off...expected to be back on by 11 am. It had been pretty windy all night long but it hadn't started to snow yet. Colton didn't even get dressed, he darted downstairs in his underwear to see if Santa had come. We all sat by the fire trying to keep warm while we opened gifts by the light of the fire. Colton was so excited to see that Santa had left him a laptop. He also got a HUGE Nerf gun, a cd and a few gift cards. Garrett did the same thing Christmas morning...he opened up his first present and just wanted to play with that toy. He didn't care about the other presents. It started snowing/blowing pretty good about 8:30-and the power finally came on about 9:30. We went over to Justin's parents for breakfast and opened up some gifts. My parents stopped by that afternoon to see what the boys had gotten.
Because it was so dark when the boys opened their presents...I didn't get any pictures til we got to Justin's parents house.

Christmas Eve!

For Christmas Eve we went to my moms for a party. We had fried turkey (sooo yummy) potatoes, jello, rolls and lots of yummy treats after. After we ate the kids all had a great time opening their gifts. Garrett didn't really get into the whole thing. He opened the first one and really didn't want anything to do with any of the other presents. He just played with that one gift. He got some fun shake n go cars and his MOST favorite...double stuff oreos from Kayden. Grandma and Grandpa gave him a cool dump truck full of blocks, a fun music tray, a book and lots of other fun stuff. Colton finally got World of Warcraft game that he has been wanting for YEARS now. After the kids were done the adults did our white elephant game. We had alot of laughs as usual. Here are a few pictures.

Santa's Little Helper

Justin recruited Garrett to help him wrap some gifts tonight. It was hilarious!! Justin would wrap them and then have Garrett color on the tag and put it on the gift. Then Garrett would carry them over to the tree--the first few were pretty easy. The last two were hilarious. One box he could barely carry--but he did it. (I think it was my present full of jewelry!!!!!)

Visit with Santa.

Before we went to The Festival of Trees, we stopped at the mall for a visit with Santa. Garrett broke out of his stroller while we were waiting in line--he had fun playing with all of the gadgets they had.
I KNEW that Garrett was going to throw a fit as soon as I put him on Santa's lap. So I warned the girl and poor Santa before. Sure enough...as soon as Santa took him and Garrett looked up at who was now holding him...he started SCREAMING and arching his back, trying to do whatever he could to get down. Santa told the girl that he didn't think this was going to work. She took a few quick pictures and I hurried and saved poor Santa. Santa told me that Garrett was "REALLY strong". I think he wanted to tell me he was a BRAT!!!! Hopefully Garrett can redeem himself in the next few weeks--enough to get a few gifts from Santa.

I think the picture speaks for itself....
